IGTP has published its 2025 Annual Report, which brings together the Institute's activities, key indicators and main achievements during a particularly significant year, marked by the celebration of its 30th anniversary.
A total of 19 women researchers affiliated with the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) feature in the April 2026 edition of the Ranking of Spanish Women Researchers and Women Researchers in Spain, reflectig the relevance of the research conducted both at the institute and across the Can Ruti Campus.
The 3rd Innomed Awards brought together professionals from research, healthcare, entrepreneurship and investment, with the presentation of the 15 projects taking part in the new edition of GrowInn and recognition for the seven projects with the greatest potential.
IGTP has concluded a new cycle of visits to its laboratories as a part of La Marató "Visita la Recerca" program. More than fifty people had the opportunity to explore the biomedical research carried out at the institute through talks, workshops, and guided tours of the laboratories and facilities.
IGTP has presented the PATH Advanced Therapies Program (Program of Advanced Therapies) at an event held on 14 May in the auditorium of Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol.
The event, held at CMCiB, brought together institutional representatives, the scientific community and healthcare professionals at the Can Ruti Campus, including the president of the Government of Catalonia, Salvador Illa. The gathering highlighted the institute's trajectory and its role within the Catalan research system.
As part of the European Day for the Prevention of Cardiovascular Risk, the podcast launches its eleventh episode, dedicated to myocardial infarction, featuring Ferran Rueda and Santi Roura from Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital and Research Institute, respectively.
For the fourth consecutive year, researchers from IGTP are taking part in the #científiques initiative, bringing science closer to schools and creating female role models in the framework of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (11 February).
The CMCiB co-organised a Cafè GIPS this Wednesday focusing on the challenges and opportunities posed by alternative models to animal experimentation in biomedical research. The session brought together professionals from research, bioengineering, innovation and industry with the aim of sharing experiences and perspectives on new approaches aligned with the 3Rs framework.
The CMCiB of the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) has renewed for the third consecutive time its certificate of compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) in accordance with Directive 2004/9/EC.
