30 years of IGTP transforming knowledge into health
Since its foundation in 1995, the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) has worked to drive discoveries from the laboratory to the clinic. Collaboration, innovation and a constant dedication to improving people's lives have defined its path, positioning the institute as a reference in biomedical research.
As IGTP celebrated its 30th anniversary, we looked back at the milestones achieved over the years and, with the same determination, looked ahead to continue generating knowledge and translating it into better health for everyone.

Celebrating 30 years: bringing people together
This anniversary has been a great opportunity to commemorate the shared history, scientific achievements and strong community at IGTP.
5 November 2025 - IGTP held its Annual Symposium, marking 30 years of research and scientific collaboration. The event highlighted the achievements developed over the past three decades and strengthened connections across the IIS IGTP community. News
11 December 2025 – The Christmas celebration brought together the Institute community to share the festive spirit and mark the end of the year. This special edition also looked back on 30 years of research and achievements. News
14 April 2026 – The closing event of the anniversary took place, with the participation of the President of the Catalan Government, Salvador Illa, bringing together institutional representatives, members of the scientific community, and healthcare professionals at the Can Ruti Campus. News
