Translational Genomics
The Translational Genomics Platform was set up in 1999 at the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital (HUGTP) and currently forms part of the core facilities at the IGTP.
The unit provides technical and methodological and scientific consultancy for researchers on the Can Ruti Campus and external research groups who request it. Its objective is to boost research, innovation and training in genomics technologies. In parallel it provides a daily genetic analysis service to the diagnostic units at the Germans Trias Hospital.
The unit periodically organizes and participates in Technical training courses for students on the Immunology Masters course (MSc Immunology, UB-UAB) for technical support staff. It also offers a consultancy service.
The Translational Genomics core facility is art of the Can Ruti Sequencing Hub, the observatory for different SARS-CoV-2 variants.
