ITSready launches as the first project in Catalonia and Spain to integrate digital tools to improve STI prevention, early diagnosis and awareness among young people

Funded by La Marató de 3Cat and jointly led by CEEISCAT-IGTP, FLI, ASPB and CJAS, the project offers three digital tools designed to improve knowledge about STIs and facilitate access to diagnosis for young people aged 16 to 25 across Catalonia: a free self-sampling kits to detect HIV, chlamydia and gonorrhoea from home, an anonymous partner notification tool and a chatbot providing validated information on sexual health.

A study supports anal self-sampling as a reliable tool for HPV detection in higher-risk populations

A multicentre study led by professionals from the CEEISCAT and the Institut Català d'Oncologia (ICO-IDIBELL), published in the Journal of Medical Virology, concludes that anal self-sampling for the detection and genotyping of human papillomavirus (HPV) is an accurate, feasible and well-accepted strategy among gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM) and trans people in the Barcelona metropolitan area.

CEEISCAT advances Pan-Téstate to strengthen online screening for HIV and viral hepatitis among GBMSM and trans women in Spain

CEEISCAT, a research group at IGTP, is developing Pan-Téstate, an online self-sampling program aimed at improving early screening for HIV and viral hepatitis among GBMSM and trans women in Spain. Using dried blood spot samples collected at home, the initiative seeks to reduce barriers to testing and improve access to early diagnosis and prevention.

Escoles Sentinella 2024–2025 Report published: five years of participatory research consolidating an innovative model between public health and education

The Escoles Sentinella project, coordinated by the CEEISCAT Group at IGTP, presented the main results of its fifth and final academic year. This initiative has shown that the network is viable and generates relevant scientific evidence on school health through collaboration between schools, researchers and public institutions.
