The IGTP presents CARE Translational Program in Cancer Research

CARE, the Translational Program in Cancer Research is the first transversal program promoted by the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP), and it aims to become a bridge for researchers in the field of cancer who want to bring basic and clinical research together, so that the knowledge and the tools generated in the laboratory can benefit the patient.

The IGTP takes part in European Performance Science Night 2021

Next weekend Badalona will be the site of European Performance Science Night 2021, an activity within the framework of the European Researchers' Night, financed by the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) has joined forces with one of the projects within this initiative led by the Épica Foundation La Fura dels Baus (a world-famous Catalan theatre company), with the aim of bringing science to the citizen and motivating young people to take up scientific careers

First event for European Performing Science Night completed

A total of 23 researchers have taken part in the first event of the European project European Performing Science Night (EPSN) part of European Researcher's Night a European public event that brings scientists and society together. All three research groups on the camps taking part in the project participated in the workshop.

The IGTP Participates in 3 Projects funded by the 2019 Edition of La Marató

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) has received a total of 305,680 euros for three projects on rare diseases in which it participates or coordinates. In total the three projects have received financing of more than a million euros, to be divided between the several institutions participating. This edition of the fundraising marathon will fund a total of 41 biomedical research projects of excellence on rare diseases. The projects aim to provide better diagnosis at birth and provide more efficient and safer treatments to improve quality of life and extend the lifespans of people affected.

Funding for a project focussed on the response to immunotherapy for the treatment of colorectal cancer

This year the Fundación Mutua Madrileña has allocated 2.3 million euros for financing medical research in Spain. Four of the 21 clinical studies benefiting are projects being carried out in Catalan research centres, which will receive a total of 540,000 euros. One of these is being led by the Germans Trias I Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) and coordinated between four groups of the Programme for Predictive and Personalized Medicine of Cancer (IGTP-PMPPC).

The IGTP and the Èpica Foundation of the Fura dels Baus present the results of the workshop ‘Complex Systems’

Last week the preliminary results of a collaboration between the scenic arts and science, or in other words, between the Èpica Foundation of the Fura dels Baus and the IGTP were presented. The workshop and the resulting performance took place last November and now the researchers are processing the data collected from the experience, which will be useful for their respective research projects.

Aniling is among the projects selected for this year’s CRAASH Barcelona Programme

Ten international projects have been selected for the second edition of CRAASH Barcelona and Aniling is one of them.  CRAASH is the business acceleration programme organized by Biocat and CIMIT (Boston). Aniling is a spin-off company of the IGTP, which has developed a method for analysing the genome and epigenome of a patient simultaneously, an advance in personalized medicine for both research and clinical settings.
