At the IGTP TODAY
On 21 March, the final meeting of INNOVA4TB, a consortium led by IGTP with researchers from around the world, took place. Participants presented the results of the different work packages and evaluated the work done since 2019. IGTP will continue to be involved in other networks such as ADVANCE-TB and SMA-TB.
On Thursday 29 February, the Germans Trias Hospital hosted the 'International Rare Disease Day Symposium'. Health professionals and researchers from the Hospital and IGTP discussed their work in advancing the field of rare diseases. Representatives from patient associations of these diseases also participated.
On 7 February, "#100tífiques" returned for its sixth edition, a macro-event that has become a benchmark for advocacy within the Catalan female research community and schools. Expanding on last year's participant numbers, thirteen scientists from IGTP took part in this event.
For the sixth consecutive year and in honour of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the Can Ruti Working Group Women for Equity in Science (formerly known as Women in Science) organised a symposium to reflect on the status of women in science. The event was held yesterday, 8 February, at the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) and was attended by over a hundred people in person and online. It focused on "Women and Leadership in Science".
The event took place at CosmoCaixa Barcelona and featured contributions from health professionals, institutions, and entities that have been collaborating closely with the centre for many years.
Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera provides these awards, supporting and enhancing the careers of young talents with both its own resources and contributions from the ICS Gerència Territorial Metropolitana Nord.
The 14th Research Conference of the ICS focused on the transformative potential of research in the health system and awarded prizes to eight researchers. Antoni Bayés and Alejandro Bustamante, who work at the Hospital and researchers at IGTP, were awarded a prize for the best hospital scientific career and ICS young researcher, respectively.
On 23 October, the "Translational research and innovation through EATRIS" workshop was held at IGTP. The purpose of this event was to discuss the advances and perspectives of EATRIS both in Spain and in Europe, highlighting the research and innovation activity of the IGTP.
The Ibero-American network RIGHT PLUS, of which the CEEISCAT is a founding member and, together with Coalition Plus, co-coordinator, has presented its launch at a meeting in Buenos Aires (Argentina) on 28-29 August.
