The 2nd Workshop on Translational Research in Urological Tumours takes place in Badalona

The 2nd Workshop on Translational Research in Urological Tumours: from the laboratory to clinical practice, took place at the Badalona Conference Centre (BCIN) on 31 January and 1 February.  It was organized by B·ARGO, ICO Badalona and the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute and was scientifically accredited by the Spanish Society for Medical Oncology (SEOM), the Spanish Group for Genitourinary Oncology (SOGUG) and the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC).

The Workshop was opened by the Director of Healthcare of the ICO Badalona, Joaquim Julià and brought together more than 25 experts in the field of translational research into urological tumours in order to carry out an in-depth update on the most important advances in the field of molecular diagnostics for this type of tumour, immunotherapy and emerging lines of research in this field of oncology.

With the presence of more than 135 professionals from different areas of healthcare (oncologists, urologists, researches and professionals from the pharmaceutical industry) the workshop was the ideal meeting place for discussion and to generate new collaborative research projects in the field of translational oncology of urological tumours.
