Undertaking projects involving clinical research, especially those spanning multiple countries, presents inherent challenges that are often difficult to anticipate. This workshop aims to address these challenges by drawing on examples from successfully funded projects. It provides insights into the key considerations for planning and executing research endeavors encompassing clinical studies or trials, as well as strategies for overcoming potential obstacles.

Co-organized by the IGTP within the ADVANCE-TB (COST Action CA21164) and the SMA-TB (GA No 847762) European Commission-funded projects, this event is led by researchers with expertise in clinical research. Our objective is to assist fellow scientists in enhancing their ability to plan and execute European and international projects incorporating clinical research, thereby facilitating the achievement of their goals.

Specifically, the symposium aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • Gain insight into real-world international projects involving clinical research, from the perspectives of various stakeholders.
  • Understand the crucial factors to consider during the planning and execution phases of research projects incorporating studies or clinical trials, and learn effective strategies for navigating potential obstacles
