The facility provides consulting and services on fields of study requiring techniques of proteomics or metabolomics based on mass spectrometry.

We offer advanced proteomics methodology to identify proteins in all types of biological fluids (plasma, serum, blood, tissue and cell isolates) and tissues and cell cultures. In these samples we can profile differential peptides and use different analytical strategies; labelled free or isotopic labelling to quantify proteins by their peptides.

We also configure analysis of metabolites through differential or targeted profiles (specific molecules) in any type of fluid or biological tissue including respiratory exhalation.

We will refine any new test in these two fields required by our clients.

The Proteomics and Metabolomics Core Facility activity is based on collaborations with researchers to refine the technique needed, analyse samples and prepare the results. We concentrate on the biomedical field; identification and validation of biomarkers, disease mechanisms through protein expression profiles, post-translational modifications and protein-protein interactions.
