JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.

The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area, the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus. IGTP is a CERCA centre and is also accredited as a centre of excellence by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) and is in charge of coordinating the management and scientific strategy of the campus, working in close collaboration with the other centres.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team focused on childhood liver cancer research. You will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing data related to patients and biological samples. This data will be instrumental in advancing our understanding of the disease and developing new treatment strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE:

  • Master's degree or degree in Data Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Biology or a related field.
  • Strong experience with Power BI and/or Kibana
  • Experience in other data analysis tools and methodologies, including Power BI, RStudio and SAS.
  • Experience in creating data models and handling databases.
  • Experience with data cleaning, validation, and management best practices.
  • Proven ability to generate clear and informative data visualizations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Knowledge in advanced R and Python languages will be taken positively in consideration
  • Languages: Spanish/Catalan and/or English

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean, validate, and manage large datasets using Power BI and potentially other relevant data analysis tools
  • Generate data visualizations and reports that effectively communicate research findings to scientists and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with researchers to ensure data integrity and meet project timelines.
  • Maintain data security and compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Temporal contract: 6 months
  • Full-time contract with possibility of working from home some days per week
  • Date of incorporation: immediate
  • Gross annual remuneration inherent to the square objected to this call, will be fixed based on the experience provided and the skills of the candidate, distributed in 12 payments.

  • 23 days holiday, 5 days for personal matters, 2 days for Easter and 2 days for Christmas.
