MiSeq® Personal Sequencer (Illumina)
Massive sequencing device than can generate up to 20Gb per run, 20M reads from 2x300bp in a maximum of 384 indexed samples. It uses sequencing by synthesis technology (SBS) and consists of amplification, sequencing and analysis of data in one instrument using the RTA v184.108.40.206 software (Real Time Analysis), MCS v220.127.116.11 (MiSeq Control Software), MSR 18.104.22.168 (MiSeq Reporter) and cloud data storage (BaseSpace).

2200 TapeStation® (Agilent)
Automatic electrophoresis system which analyses nucleic acids (gDNA, DNA or RNA fragments or libraries) or proteins in a capillary support (ScreenTape) and scans images. It allows for the calculation of the size of nucleic acids (in bp) and of proteins (kDa), quantification and quality analysis using the GeneTools software with a system for comparison of simplified bands incorporated. The systems uses a very small sample size (1-2 µL) and readings can be done in single tubes or 96w plates.
Real time qPCR LightCycler®480 (Roche Diagnostics)
For interchangeable plate formats 96w and 384w. Xenon lamp, emissions 430-630 nm, filters with excitation at 440, 465, 498, 533 i 618 nm and emission at 488, 510, 580, 610, 640 i 660 nm which allow detection of the most usual fluorochromes (FAM, NED, ROX, SYBR, TAMRA i VIC). Sistema Amplispeed (Beckman Coulter Biomedical GmbH)
An amplification platform for single cells, nucleic acid samples with low copy number that uses glass slides (that carry up to 48 different samples) in a final maximum volume of 1 µl. The amplification system allows results to be read by microscope or slide fluorescence scanner. Samples can be prepared for approximations based on flow cytometry, micromanipulation and laser microdissection and the main applications are heterogeneous and circulating tumour genetic analysis (stem cells), PCR, rt-PCR or rt-qPCR. Preamplification of single cell for mRNA expression, amplification previous to sequencing, mitochondrial heteroplasmy studies and identification for forensic analysis.
