Super-resolution fluorescence microscopy platform at CMCiB – information, proposal and your feedback

Jakub Chojnacki

PERIS and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow, IrsiCaixa

Host: Sara Capdevila, CMCiB

Date and time: | 15.00

Venue: Sala Polivalent, IGTP Mar

Fluorescence microscopy is a highly valuable tool of scientific discovery. Recent advances in super-resolution fluorescence microscopy have enabled routine imaging beyond the resolution limits of the conventional microscope and hence are becoming the new gold standard for advanced imaging studies.

The completion of CMCiB offers an unprecedented opportunity to create a unique imaging platform in Southern Europe, combining these advanced microscopy techniques with a level 3 biosafety environment as well as animal model studies. This seminar is aimed at everyone who is currently performing fluorescence microscopy studies or is considering to do so in their research. During this seminar, Jakub Chojnacki will cover the background and applications of these techniques as well as provide an overview of the proposed imaging platform. Feedback from all potential users will be collected to better adapt the new platform to the needs of present and future research.
