Can Ruti Campus Innovation Training Programme

Open to: All professionals on the Can Ruti Campus who are interested in entrepreneurship. Participants must have a contractual relationship with the hospital or the IGTP (including researchers associated to the IGTP by signed agreement)

Aim

The aim is to identify, facilitate and empower the development of innovative activities, processes and activities in the scope of healthcare, as well as to deepen the knowledge in the steps involved in innovation project management until commercialization.

This programme brings together a number of learning activities and support tools with the aim of:

  • Promoting creative, entrepreneur and innovative thinking
  • Ensure the success of the businesses and projects

Objectives

The participants will be able to:

  • Name the innovation structures in the campus
  • Participate in a number of training sessions with the basic elements on entrepreneurship and healthcare innovation
  • Access a world that was unchartered for them until now: the innovation world
  • Evaluate their own business ideas with the staff and other participants in the programme

Intended learning outcomes

At the end of the programme, the participants will be able to:

  • Explain what is innovation and the existing models
  • Explain the reasons as to why it is important to innovation in the healthcare/biomedical sector
  • Plan, write and develop innovation projects in multidisciplinary teams
  • Effectively design innovation projects and explain how they are managed
  • Describe the entire innovation management process, from idea generation all the way to commercialisation
  • Navigate the innovation management process in campus Can Ruti and understand the need to inform about innovative ideas to the innovation management units
  • Name, define and evaluate the suitability of the different business and commercial exploitation models of innovative ideas
  • Effectively participate in networking sessions and peer-to-peer mentoring activities

Assessment

  • Formative assessment will be used in sessions 2 to 6
  • Summative assessment will be performed in sessions 7 to 8 using a test
